Alex walked into the lobby of the Hay Adams Hotel and waved five fingers at General Kelly, who was sitting in the lobby with a laptop computer on his knees. He grinned at Alex, happy to wait. Within fifteen minutes Alex was back in the lobby in shorts and a light-blue, button-down, long-sleeved cotton shirt with his hanging bag luggage over his shoulder. When he walked to the government car waiting for them outside, General Kelly was standing at the curb by a dark green sedan.

“The Naval Academy dock, Corporal, if you please,” Kelly said with a grin to the driver. “This could be fun.”
